Nelson Mandela was born the 18th of July, 1918 in Umtata, South Africa. He studied Laws in Fort Hare. In 1943 he created protests against the apartheid, which is a racial system. The white government eliminated all those who made revolts with blood and fire. For these reason he created an organization called Umkhonto we Sizwe in 1961. The next year hewas captured and sent to jail when he was 46 years old. In 1990 Mandela was took out of jail by the moderated president Frederik de KlerK. In 1993 he won a Nobel Price for Peace. He became the first black president of South Africa in 1994 until 1999.

What is happening?
Now Nelson Mandela is suffering of a lung infection and of pneumonia at his 94 years. It is said that doctors are doing whatever they can to improve his condition. He is critical but at the same time he is stable. The bad part of it is that he is getting worst as time passes.
On the other side there is his family who are fighting with Mandla, his older grandson, because they want to bury him with his 3 sons in Qunu a family cemetery but these have been taken by him. In a trial, the second of July, it was said to him that he had to give back the bodies of the 3 sons. What some Mandela’s friends say is that his soul cannot rest in peace if his family is fighting.

The bodies have now been buried in Qunu, where the expresident lived his childhood.
